Fisherman Foundation Website
Dec. 30, 2009, 12:26 p.m.
Recently, we have had the privilege of working with The Fisherman Foundation to build their new website. The foundation provides a multi-dimensional perspective on approaching global poverty. The idea comes from the Chinese proverb: “ Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish, and you have fed him for a lifetime.” By seeking new definitions of poverty and self-sustenance, The Fisherman Foundation allows involvement from all aspects of the cause. A non-profit organization, patrons can intern with the program, become a partner (the current project is located in the Philippines), contribute monetary donations, or enter a competition to become a pioneer of change. 100% of all donations go towards the cause.
The current project in the Philippines brings The Fisherman Foundation and SEVEN (Social Equality Venture) Fund together looking for entrepreneurial ideas connecting the poor to networks of opportunities. The plan is to bring the best of the best ideas together to implement a plan that will truly bring lasting socioeconomic betterment.

The results range from artistic to hilarious (check out The Madonna Fashion Trek – using paintings of the Virgin Mary as a means of fashion commentary). The idea behind this MuseTrek business is creating a new way to explore art and exhibits, and being able to share knowledge to create a new kind of culture, Museum 2.0. The site is accessible in both English and French.

June is Education Month for Imperial
June 11, 2009, 12:46 p.m.
June brings about a redesign of Wilson Daily Prep's website. Wilson Daily Prep is a long-time client and in addition to redesigning the public website, we have helped them develop their online SAT prep program and their new ACT prep program. Wilson Daily Prep was founded Laura Wilson, who for over 15 years was an English teacher at two of the most academically rigorous high schools in the nation. In 2001, she noticed the need for a more dynamic system of test preparation and started Wilson Daily Prep.
June also saw the launch of a mini-site for the travel book CHINA: museums. Th book is a remarkable guide to the country's most extraordinary museum destinations. The mini-site introduces the book written by Miriam Clifford, Cathy Giangrande & Antony White and is illustrated with over 500 original images. We are in the process of taking the book to the next level. Stay tune!
